What Surya Kriya is
Surya Kriya is a 21-step yogic practice devised by Sadhguru. It is the original and more refined form from which Surya Namaskar later evolved, and it brings vitality and balance to the body and mind.
Where Surya Namaskar, the sun salutation, is a simpler sequence often used as a warm-up, Surya Kriya is a complete, structured practice in its own right. It is low to medium intensity, needs no prior experience, and is suitable for ages 14 and over.
Who it is for
- Anyone aged 14 or over, with or without yoga experience
- People wanting energy, clarity and a stronger, more flexible spine
- Practitioners looking for an authentic classical practice
- Those who want a practice they can do at home each day
How it is taught
Surya Kriya is taught over two sessions, with video demonstrations and live instruction that includes corrections, so you learn all 21 steps thoroughly and with correct alignment. A handout with the practice sequence is provided on completion.
Once you have learned it, the practice is yours to continue at home. People commonly report more energy, mental clarity, and spinal strength and flexibility with regular practice.

Founder & Yoga Teacher
Ramy Zach has been involved in fitness and sport his whole life. He moved from Czechia to Australia at twenty-one, trained as a personal trainer, and has coached clients for close to twenty years.
His path took a deeper turn when he began a committed yoga and meditation practice under Sadhguru. He went on to volunteer for four years at Sadhguru’s ashram in India, where he received his yoga certification in the classical tradition we teach today.
My husband and I recently completed the weekend classical yoga program, Surya Kriya. The teaching was thorough and grounded in authenticity. It is rare to find such integrity with modern day yoga practices. Highly recommend if you are after the original yoga sun invocation. Thanks Ramy.
